This 1962 home had a very dated kitchen with several D.I.Y. updates that did not work anymore.
The owner had some wants and wishes that we incorporated into this new plan. As a rental for her daughter and her family it needed to be easy to clean and have lots of storage plus the ability to see into the other rooms.
The cabinets had to be custom built to fit this unique space. They include a tilt out under the sink, trash pull out pins next to the dishwasher and a spice unit next to the stove. A pair of portals were built on either side of the stove to serve and see the kids. She designed a unique set of shelves to hold nicknacks and see the front door. The walls and ceiling are plaster so the decision was made to leave them alone. The owner took it upon herself to do the painting and add her special touches to finish the project.
